living eck master
The Living ECK Master is the spiritual leader of Eckankar. At each time, there may be multiple ECK masters, but only one is the Living ECK Master. He receives the Rod of Power from the previous Master.
The line of Living ECK Masters is an unbroken line since the beginning of humanity and there has been 973 masters so far. Some have been the leader for more than a thousand years.
The Living ECK Master is a 12th or 13th Initiate. Depending on the mission, if he receives the 14th Initiation, he will become the Mahanta.
