An ECK Initiation is a sacred rite that increases the power and love of ECK in your life. It adds to your ability to solve your own problems.

The initiations may involve receiving a new Secret word or Mantra to practice during contemplation.
The initiations can have inner and outer events. The outer events can be planned based on the situation and location of the student and is not necessary.
In total, there are fourteen initiations, all of which involve an experience or ceremony in the inner worlds. However, that does not mean that the student would remember the ceremony in full details.

List of Initiations

First Initiation. This is given in dream state after 6 months to 1 year since the acceptance of Eckankar's teachings. The student has to take an interest about his dreams, write them, and try to unravel them via the given methods about dream interpretation.
Second Initiation. This is given after around 2 years of study in Eckankar. The student has to request for this Initiation. Depending on the location, an outer ceremony can occur with the help of higher initiates. A Secret word may be given to the student to repeat during his Spiritual exercise.
Third Initiation. This coincides with teachings about Karma and Reincarnation. The student may be able to look into his past lives, during dream state or spiritual exercises, to understand his situation today.
Fourth Initiation. This initiation is about Mental plane. The student has to unravel problems with his mental state as shown to him through more direct communication with the Inner Master.
Fifth Initiation to Fourteenth Initiation: These are considered the higher initiations and the student has to enter in complete humbleness and secrecy.
